A client approached us with two red gum slabs, bought for a bargain price at a Garage Sale.

They had wanted to make them into an outdoor seat, but the timber was warped

& they didn’t know how this could be achieved.

Geoff used the Lucas Mill to shave the slabs back into shape & after lots of sanding

the slabs revealed their true potential with stunning live edge detail.

Geoff recycled the metal base of an old bench seat to display the beautiful slabs to their best

effect, and the client was delighted with the results – “You not only gave me an affordable option

but improved the design above and beyond what i thought was possible with the timber.”
